Ed Principe, of Counsel

Born and raised in East Boston, Massachusetts with a philosophy that nothing comes without perseverance and a lot of hard work, Ed's path to his law career is an interesting one. His diverse background includes several jobs including UPS, U.S. Postal Worker, Massachusetts State Trooper (retired after 20 years of service), and now a private practice attorney. After completing law school at Suffolk University, Ed passed both the Massachusetts and Florida Bar exams. As the media spokesman and interim press secretary for EOPS (Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety) and spokesman during the Democratic National Convention in Boston, Ed has a great deal of experience dealing with national and local media. Common in all his careers is Ed's personable demeanor and genuine concern for people. Becoming a lawyer is a natural extension of his desire to assist people both proactively and in times of crisis. Ed maintains an active practice in the areas of criminal defense, family law, and personal injury.

Robert M. Strasnick

After graduating from the University of Massachusetts Rob attended the New England School of Law. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1997 and commenced his legal career as a trial attorney. He is experienced in complex civil litigation, family law, criminal defense, estate planning, creditors' rights, and real estate. He has tried nearly 60 criminal and civil cases to completion in the Commonwealth's District, Superior, and Probate Courts. He has also successfully represented clients in the Appeals Court, the Supreme Judicial Court, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. In his federal criminal defense practice he has negotiated numerous settlements and plea bargain agreements with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Office of the United States Attorney. Rob is admitted to practice before the state courts of Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

Jason A. Guida, of Counsel

Attorney Jason Guida joined Principe & Strasnick as “Of Counsel” in 2009 and is the leading attorney in Massachusetts firearms laws and regulations. Attorney Guida served as the Director of the Massachusetts Firearms Records Bureau for over 4 years, is a former Hampden County Assistant District Attorney, and is a former legislative aide in the Massachusetts State Senate. His knowledge of Massachusetts firearms law has led to 2 separate appearances as a guest panelist on Court TV and he is a frequent resource for local media outlets. Attorney Guida’s practice focuses on firearms licensing issues and criminal defense. He is a graduate of James Madison University and Suffolk University Law School and he is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts.
